All important aspects of Pavel Büchler's work are represented and presented in the book, whether it is conceptual work with text, "old" technologies or photography, but also examples of youthful starting points for creation such as collage or performative activities. The publication also reflects the asymmetrically divided artistic career between the former Czechoslovakia and Great Britain, where Pavel Büchler left for political reasons at the beginning of 1981.

This is the first comprehensive retrospective of Pavel Büchler in a public art institution in the Czech Republic, and the publication is the first artist's monograph published in the Czech language. Pavel Büchler is also the author of the publication's graphics and layout.
