This monograph is the first to bring together the broad range of McLean's varied artistic practice, drawing on works from throughout his career, and is published on the occasion of a major survey exhibition at Firstsite in Colchester, Bruce McLean: Sculpture, Painting, Photography, Film. Edited by firstsite's Senior Curator, Michelle Cotton, it features new essays by Clarrie Wallis, Curator of Modern and Contemporary British Art, Tate Britain and Michelle Cotton, as well as an extended interview with the artist by John Hilliard. These are accompanied by over 120 illustrations including new paintings, previously unpublished drawings, posters and ephemera.
