Arrange Whatever Pieces Come Your Way is a collective formed by Sheelagh Boyce and Annabelle Harty. They produce objects that describe their united sensibilities and interest in architecture, gastronomy, and art. Their hand-sewn quilts take inspiration from traditional American and Japanese quilt-making techniques or reference their collection of clothing and fabrics passed down by friends and family.
Print 1 is based on one of three quilts made as a ‘portrait’ of Annabelle Harty’s brother, Fergus Henderson, chef and founder of St. John Restaurant in London. The quilts are made up of one of Fergus’ well-loved jackets, worn by him to destruction. In the 18-colour screenprint, this sense of love and wear has been distilled.
